Every year it seemed, at least someone at the Society of Hospital Medicine would utter the words, "We need an app." We were less sure what we needed one for. Scanning the environment, many similar medical societies had lifeless, dull apps that seemed to amount to a collection of hyperlinks. We knew that our members were interested in mobile learning, but found most mobile learning management systems were just extensions of existing enterprise LMS's designed to shoehorn desktop learning into a mobile experience. We wanted a platform that would help us create education designed for the experience of mobile learning. That's why we were so excited to find Amphetamobile (AMMO).
